New Paul Krugman Canadian Healthcare “Research”.

Here is a video, Liberals, and especially government-run healthcare advocates, would probably not like you to see.

When you watch this very short video, note Paul Krugman’s approach to the question of how Canadians feel about their healthcare plan. He assumes that the majority consider it “terrible”. As a supposedly disciplined academic, he could have been much less biased in how he posed the question.

In any case, Krugman stepped into a big pile of you know what.

Canada Public Health Plan “Sick” and “Imploding” says CMA President

Much contradictory information circulating about the feasibility of various types of healthcare models, private free-market ( ie USA) versus GCH / Government Controlled Healthcare (Canada, France etc.)

Who can you believe these days?

Challenging to discriminate between real news reporting and propagandizing or opinionating.

New York Times article (relying on a Political Science Professor, Theodore R. Marmor, as source) promotes The Canadian system, and GCH / Government Controlled Healthcare.

However, in the news, today, (Courtesy of The Canadian Press) is a statement directly from Canada, and from the President of the Canadian Medical Association, a Medical Doctor, saying:

this country’s health-care system is sick and doctors need to develop a plan to cure it.

“We all agree that the system is imploding, we all agree that things are more precarious than perhaps Canadians realize,” Doing said in an interview with The Canadian Press.

Healthcare Radicalization 2009 – Enemies of Liberty

Regarding America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 … where in the United States Constitution does it say that Congress has the right to regulate health insurance? And, why have states been regulating health insurance all this times?

Especially hardcore liberals (sponsors of this bill) are very good at mislabeling intentions and deeds.

This isn’t about “more choices”; obviously its about “fewer choices”. Much fewer.

And, its very easy to see (below) that the sponsors of (H.R. 3200) are enemies of liberty.

Major elements of the bill clearly reflect a desire by these politicians to oppress major segments of American society, including individuals and organizations.

Per Wikipedia, the bill was sponsored by:

*Rep. John Dingell (D), Hardcore Liberal
*Rep. Charles Rangel (D), Moderate Liberal
*Rep. Henry Waxman (D), Hardcore Liberal
*Rep. George Miller (D), Hardcore Liberal
*Rep. “Pete” Stark, Jr (D), Hardcore Liberal
*Rep. Frank Pallone (D), Hardcore Liberal
*Rep. Robert Andrews (D). Populist-Leaning Liberal

Note: Political records of these enemies of liberty are courtesy of OnTheIssues.org. (Rating are at the bottom of the page.)

Elements of the bill

(Per wikipedia) The summary of the bill includes the following elements, among others:

1. Establishes a mandate to purchase health insurance for most legal United States residents with an income above poverty level.[5]
2. Prohibits pre-existing condition exclusions.
3. Prohibits premium variances, except for age, geographic area, or family (vs. individual) enrollment.
4. Prohibits cancellation of coverage except for evidence of fraud.
5. Limits annual out-of-pocket expenses to $5,000 for an individual and $10,000 for a family.
6. Includes a public health insurance option to compete with private insurance.
7. Establishes a Health Insurance Exchange (HIE) within a proposed Health Choices Administration, to provide individuals and employers access to health insurance coverage choices. The HIE would contract with various insurers to offer benefit plans at competitive prices, by establishing a risk-pooling mechanism. This will allow individuals and small companies to band together to bargain for lower rates.
8. Provides a tax credit for low-income individuals and families to help pay insurance premiums.
9. Requires employers with payroll costs over $250,000 that are using the HIE to provide health insurance.
10. Provides for a tax on individuals without health insurance and employers that do not provide the required health insurance.
11. Provides for a tax on individuals with adjusted gross income exceeding $350,000.
12. Reduces Medicare payments to hospitals with excessive re-admissions.
13. Establishes a Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research, which would analyze cost variances for similar treatments across the country.
14. Further expands Medicaid eligibility and scope of covered preventive services, for lower-income individuals and families.
15. Increases Medicaid payments to physicians for primary care.
16. Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) to develop quality measures for the delivery of health care services in the United States.
17. Establishes the Health Benefits Advisory Committee chaired by the Surgeon General.

Russia, here we come?

Americans need to start paying more attention to what’s going on the world. China (you know, “Red China”), like other former Socialist / “Central Control” governments, has been moving aggressively toward more economic liberty.

Don’t believe me.

Just “google” on searches like “China versus USA economic growth”

And, don’t forget to ask yourself if any particular politician is “pro-business” or “anti-business”.

Can you think of any particular politician, today, who is bashing insurance companies, for the purpose of diminishing the role of private industry, and replacing it with government?

Fake protestors or Fake president? Which is worse?

Of course, if they are opposing Obama and Pelosi and all of the other hard-core Liberals running Washington, the Conservative protesters must be fake. Obviously, this is absurd.

Mannow criticizes the organizations associated with these protestors, as if nobody has heard of MoveOn or ACORN, or ??

The problem is that the same internet that helped get Obama elected, might also be a contributing factor to the halt of healthcare “reform”, and to an earlier-than-expected demise of Democratic power.

One of the benefits of being truthful, is that you don’t have to keep trying to remember what you said in other situations, possibly when talking to another group.

The fact is that, thanks to the internet and the proliferation of video, Obama has been busted. Obama is not a centrist. Not even close.

Enough Americans now know that Obama wants the government to take over healthcare and not just health insurance. Obviously, controlling purse strings is power enough.

And, many-to-most Americans are vehemently opposed to this.

Check out this this video, where Mannow alleges “Fake protest”

And, then check out this video, created by someone alleging Obama to be a fake, at least with regard to his real agenda for healthcare.

Who’s your nanny?

Progressive Think-Tanker admits to Single-Payer Agenda

Thus far, I have not had much experience, or interest, in following “think tank” types.

But, came across The New America Foundation, due to a link at MSN Money, regarding better ways to save money.

Quite scary. I have known a few people who really wanted to change the world in a radical way. But, they have mostly been fairly eccentric.

The fellows at this liberal (aka Progressive) “think tank” are obviously smart, at least based on their educational successes and publications, etc.

Regarding healthcare finance agenda of The Left, according to Michael Lind:

Progressives hope, and conservatives fear, that the public plan over time will absorb more and more American workers, eventually becoming a de facto single-payer system.

Something else about this article.

I have difficulty with this Collectivist’s use of the term “social contract“. Is that like a legal contract, which people are supposed to be able to enter into voluntarily? I doubt it. Why not instead use “enforced social scheme”? Obviously, that what he is describing, right? Let’s be honest.

I get nauseous thinking about “social engineering” types, who want to make radical, or just very significant, changes in the world, impacting large groups of people. WTF!

Its apparent that they believe that they are qualified to create these new schemes; and the tone of this article seems like one of confidence of success. (Why do I sense this fellow might not even know how to change his own oil?)

I just have to say the the implied sense of entitlement and grandiosity is quite nauseating.

I suppose if you have lots of schooling, and a giant ego, and maybe want to be respected as an egghead, and need to make a living, this is what these people do.

I thank this gentleman for his honesty.

Ronald Reagan speaks out against Obamacare

Many of those who want tax-payer funded and government-run health care either can’t afford their own health insurance, or don’t want to take care of themselves.

Many of the advocates are coercive, anti-business, collectivist ideologues, who want the government to tax (or steal from) the productive people for the purpose of redistributing income and wealth to others.

Here is what President Reagan had to say about this:
